This month, BJ turns 4 , a wonderful timing to launch the BJ Talks podcast. In this episode 0, I tell you my motivations for launching this podcast and my journey from orphan girl to entrepreneur.
This podcast is for me a way to regain control of BJ's essential values: sharing, communication, positivity.
Here, we will welcome women that I like. We will talk about serious topics and others that are lighter. There are no rules or guidelines, it is an aperitif-podcast where we meet around a drink to exchange with authenticity and love.
To return to this episode 0,
I have not been spoiled by life since my youngest age, my mother's assassination, a father in prison, but despite this, I knew how to seize opportunities and bounce back from events to build a future that suits me. No one has ever believed in me, and neither do I.
I have made risky decisions throughout my life and it has shaped me: orphan, then victim of domestic violence, a trip around the world, and today, at the head of a renowned clothing brand in Switzerland. I have always been inspired by other women and their stories, which is why sharing mine is so important to me.
Since my grandmother adopted us when I was 8 years old, a great solidarity has been established around us to create associations, raise funds, clothes and toys. Stores opened their doors to us to collect food when we were in need. If we were able to benefit from all these resources, it is thanks to the kindness and generosity of the world around us. This is why today, participating in charitable works with BJ, raising funds and awareness on so many subjects, is what literally boosts me in what I do every day.
I talk about it vaguely in this episode 0, but I will take advantage of other episodes to go more in depth into certain subjects that are close to my heart.
I hope you enjoy this first episode, as authentic as BJ. Don't hesitate to give me your opinion!
